Spent the afternoon on LSU's campus. Temps were over 70, partly cloudy, with a nice westerly breeze. As you will see below, I had a very tough day at work, haha. Well, someone has to do it, might as well be me !

A view from the endzone. The stadium has a couple of towers pointed to the inside, so that the 1,000s of fans that are talking on their cellphones will have a signal. Got to love technology, lol. Job security is what I call it, haha.

Mike---up close and personal. Oh by the way,
this is Mike the 5th.
Most of these tigers have lived 20 years.
Except for one, which died after 2 years under
questionable circumstances.

Mike--LSUs mascot.

This is a beautiful animal !

Every brick around this enclosure is bought & engraved by LSU supporters.

I saw this and felt it was way too funny to pass up. I smiled about this for a while in the midst of the day.

Rays in the spanish moss.

Was a gorgious sunset again this evening. Can also see the last moments of the sun setting.

Left turn Clyde

This reminded me of the ribbon that was in the Star Trek movie, which both Shatner and Patrick Stewart was in.

Call this one----God's doodling

E=MC2 oh wait, maybe PIE in the sky? lol

I call this one-- Morning passage. I took it on my way to Laurel, Mississippi. It was the best sunrise that I have seen in a very long time. Of course, it has been a very long, long time since I have seen ANY sunrise, haha!

Looks like someone up there combed the sky.
You may have to click the picture to see what
Im talking about. It will enlarge it

This is how I feel right now, lol. I have to head to Laurel, Mississippi. It is 2:30am, and its a 6 hour drive. I have to be in place at my first tower at 9 am. There isnt any hotel rooms to be had down in that area right now because of a huge swim meet, and the last weekend of Mardi gras. So, since I have been doing night testing anyway this week---save the cost of a hotel room and head down now, and when thru, just head on back. I can always stop on my way back if I get too tired. Anyway, the towns 911 service will be 100% when I get thru ! Thats whats important. Gentle breezes& waves !

I have been doing night testing in Lexington, Kentucky this week. When I was younger, staying up all night wasnt a big deal. Well, Im not as young, or as good looking as I use to be! So, to say this one has beat me up a bit, would be about right. My boss asked me if I could do another day after I got back and I just had to smile. I know she was only concerned about how I was feeling. However, if I am okay physically and the company needs me, then its my responsiblitiy to take care of business. I am Her employee, it is not my place to question where, or how long I will work. I dont care where she sends me, as long as she sends me !
A friend of mine, Jim S., gave me a book to read not long ago. The Greatest Miracle in the World. Fantastic book. One of the things that it takes about, one of the important points, is that no matter what we do, we should always go the extra mile in anything that we do. I have always tried to do that in all of my affairs. It gives me the satisfaction of knowing, when I am thru with whatever task that it is, that I have given my best. Im not trying to impress anyone but myself. And when I compete, I normally compete that way also. Except when I fly my hang glider with my best friend Dub, thennnnn... well, thats a different story, haha ! !
I came across this Carly Simon song tonight, after coming in off the road. I love the latin dances in ballroom dancing. So much passion, and heat between the partners. This song would be great to dance too. Also, in the video part, theres alot of sand & Waves ! I miss the waves. Maybe I will be able to get back to them soon.

I happened upon a rare find in Kentucky this week. Its calle the Hampton Inn, in Winchester. This is the best hotel that I have stayed at in the last couple of years. Including the stay in New Orleans, which was $160 a night. This hotel has a hot breakfast, AND a hot supper. The rooms are very classy. And very close to the interstate. Location Location Location. No wonder they are 100% occupied alot of the time, even in this small town. The picture here is the owner and the night front desk clerk, Alisha. She is a nut, and a sophmore in college. Her mom was nice too. Very family oriented place to stay. Plus, shes prettier than the guy on graveyard shift. However, he is equally as nice and helpful, hahah!!!!

And a floor show??? wonder if she tap dances too? lol

This front desk will do anything to get the guest to try her cooking! Thank goodness I am a 911 tester, just kidding.

This is the real her,lol

This is a review of the song---Voices that Care, that I posted this evening. I hope you enjoy it, and what it is about. I found this write up on Amazon.com, and it tells what it is all about.

"More than a decade ago the nation was gripped by the events happening in Kuwait. Our American troops won the hearts of all of us, young and old, rich and poor, famous and not so famous. The entertainment world wanted to create something very special to send to the soldiers in the Middle East, so they collaborated with David Foster, a lyrical genius, and came up with VOICES THAT CARE, a moving song which pays tribute to the courageous women and men who were stationed overseas in Desert Storm. The scenes are quite moving as you witness big name stars dedicate their time and talent to this worthy undertaking. Enjoy this one -- it's a new American Classic piece of music and video making."

Even though this song was written 15 years ago, I feel that the strongness of it meaning is still ever present for our brave young men & woman overseas. I hope you will join with me and pray for every one of their safe returns ! ! ! !

I was coming home last night from Lexington, Kentucky and this little deer decided to commit suicide. It was very young, just barely had antlers. I hit it dead center, sorry for the pun. So many things could have gone wrong with the situation at that moment, to say that I was very lucky would be an understatement. I believe it was a God thing ! ! The state trooper did say that his brother in law would be glad to get it off the roadway for him. Guess some good will come out of this after all, haha ! You would think at 4 AM, all the deer would be asleep. Now we get to see how good Geico insurance is, lol.

thank goodness it was a rental car ! ! ! !

Keith and Jen are past the date the Dr. has set for the delivery time. Should be just anytime now. We had a pool going to see who could come the closest to the actual delivery date/time. My time is today, the 15th at 9pm. Go Jen Go, just kidding. I know Jen is hoping that this is the last picture of her like this. I am leaving in a few minutes to head back to Lexington, Kentucky to do some more evening testing. We start at midnight again this time. Hopefully finish before 9am, arggggg. I hope when I get home, that there is another addition to the neighborhood. Just hope the little one sleeps all night, haha. Living 2 doors down, I wonder if Im going to be able to hear it crying?????? Being on the road so much might not be a bad thing any more, just kidding. Jens going to make a great Mom !

This was the sunset on Valentines day. It was gorgious! ! ! Just like the ladies at the Valentines dance that evening, at Allemande Hall. Really am enjoying learning how to do ballroom dancing. Especially the tango, and the Waltz. The Waltz is close to the feeling of flying, only gravity wins, haha

In my drives during work, I get to enjoy lots of different scenery, and driving over the great Rocky mountains is a real treat. I was drooling most of the time. The only thing about it, it was dinosaur country. Which to us hang glider pilots means, it is all trees and there isnt any where to land safely. Guess we would just have to fly 50 miles to where there is a nice big landing spot, lol

The call of the Rocky Mountains. I know a friend of mine Isaac (Dub), will be drooling over this one, haha!

John and Dale Stokes have a blogspot now. They have the SOAR-south here in the Chattanooga, Tennessee area. Save Our American Raptors- south. They do some great work educating people about them. I will post a link to the right to their site. This particular eagle only has one wing. Learn more on what we all can do to help with this program. Sure would have been a shame for this beautiful creature to have been destroyed ! ! ! !

Nothing like a good hug from a friend ! !

A Real close encounter ! !

This great friend of mine in Huntsville, alabama has some new puppies. There are 9 of them in the El Camino with her & mark (her son) as they were leaving the Vets office today. They are full blood White German Shepard pups, with all their shots. If you would like to buy one of them, please post me a note, and I will give you the information.

The Hang gliding launch got a little dusting last night. It is amazing to me to be able to see this well defined line of "higher elevation". I actually got this weekend off, so what do I do now??? Wonder what the normal people do? Guess I will just clean my house.

Weather report said, Snow in higher elevation. Guess they actually got one right, lol.

I came across this song tonight, while looking for another song to put on here. Normally, Im not really touched by a song the first time that I hear it. Especially, when the words doesnt pertain to whats in my life at that moment. However, since I have a lot of friends that come here often, I thought maybe, just maybe someone may be touch, or even blessed by it.
I have so many things in my life that I am grateful for, that I am totally unworthy of, that I couldnt possibly name them all. And I guess thats what moved me about this song.
So, take a second, turn up the volume a little and listen to the words of the song. Maybe it will move you also.
Sheryl Crowe said something in a song that makes alot of sense to me. "Its not getting what you want, its wanting what you've got", or something like that.
My work in Lexington, Kentucky as been postponed another day. It has given me time to get things done around here, that has needed to be taken care of.
I am taking ballroom dance lessons at a couple different places here in Chattanooga, Tn. Went to a new place tonight and it was fantabulous. 5 times larger than any other place I have ever been to for classes. A really special friend of mine, Debra, was there. This little lady can really dance. What a classy lady. Her and her dance partner Ken ( one of my instructors ) are putting a showcase on, on friday night at Allemende Hall. I hope that Im in town to be able to watch it. I know that it will be a rare treat. One of these days, I will learn all of those dances ! Up until then---will just have to make do with what I got. Gentle breezes !

Think its going to snow????? Scarey skys here! ! ! !

The Journey Continues.
I am heading out today for Lexington, Kentucky. We are going to be doing night testing for the next couple of days. From 11 PM until 9 am, argggg. What dont kill us, makes us stronger, or so they say, haha.
Hope everyone has a wonderfully blessed Week ! ! ! Will post from the road, if Im not sleeping.
