I call this picture Reflections. Its a creek just down from my house.
This friend of mine gave me a good idea for my blog.
Everyday, or so lol, I will be posting and giving my answer to a thought provoking idea. The ideas come from a book I just bought called---IF....questions for the Game of Life, by Evelyn McFarlane & James Saywell. Thought it would be alot of funn. So, here goes.
If you could possess one supernatural ability, what would you choose???
I would choose the ability to be able to Fly without wings. Hasn't everyone dreamt of flying?? I do fly, however, I have to have wings, and I dont always soar. Sooo, that would really increase my airtime, lol. Your turn.

Keith coming in to land, on his "sled run". Pretty day tho!
It was actually an Extended sled run. He soared for at least 15 mintues.

Scott coming in to land.

It was soo smooth today, even a paraglider got off the mountain

Imagine just how heavy these clouds are. The wind is blowing 20 mph, almost straight into the mountain. However, the clouds arent being blown away, or apart. That is an incredible force of nature. There is one, and only one, silver lining to the weather today---it's 64 degrees. It could be ohh sooo much nastier out there! ! ! Gentle breezes

What Happened to the rest of the Mountain?? You would be IN the clouds before you ever started to fly! ! ! We call that being "Whited Out". NOT a funn place to be. Very Disorienting, as you can't see your hand in front of your face. Been there once or twice, and that's enough!

This is my cousins house, and tree. The tree is about 10 feet tall. Wish I had a video of him putting the angel on the top of it. Probably could have sent it to americas funniest home videos. As you can probably tell, we pick on each other alot, but then again, dont all families???? Guess we're normal then----NOT!!! Whats normal, anyway??? Someone please let me know, cause we don't have a clue. And glad of it ! haha! Hope you have a Great Holiday Season! ! ! ! !

They even come by bus to take discovery flights here, and experience Hang Gliding for the first time. We do approx. 1,500 discovery flights here a year--0----accidents. They even get pictures of themselves while they are flying with the tandem pilot. To see their faces after their first hang glider flight, looks like a kid at Christmas. Takes days to remove the smile, lol.

This is my Dad, over my Mom's grave on Decoration day in Alabama. He is my hero. The best man I have ever know, kind of like John Wayne. Never wavering, never yeilding on his morals, or beliefs. Not a talkative man, or very emotional, but his points are always made. What he says, is what he means. In todays times, a very rare breed of individual. Very honored to be called son.
I'm putting these pics up for a very special reason. Its the Holiday season. And there is alot of us that get down during this time of year. Just wanted who ever reads this to know, that during this time, you dont have to get drunk, do drugs, loose your mind, or your life because life has dealt you a crappy hand. Hang on to what you do have, be very grateful for it, and always be true to yourself. Love yourself, because if you don't, no one else will. You are worth it. God made us all special, and HE Loves Us, everyone for who & what we are. No ifs ands or buts about it. No exceptions. No matter what we have done. He's always just a thought, prayer, teardrop away. When's the last time you talked to Jesus? It's been toooo long. After all, HE is the Reason for the season. Gentle breezes & always Keep Your Chin Up ! One Day at a Time

My brother left us too soon as well. Decoration Day.

Dad putting flowers on Teresas headstone.

This is my sisters' resting place in Alabama. She left us way too soon.

Looking at flying pics is what us pilots do alot in the off flying season, and pray for spring time or sun shiney day.

Ever have one of those days, that just seem to slip by without making any progress at all?
There was a feeling of winter in the air, so it would have made for a nice day to snuggle up on the couch, watch a movie, snack on some popcorn, enjoy a nice roaring fire, and take a nap. However, since I dont have anyone to snuggle with, or a couch, or fireplace to enjoy,,,,,,,made the best of what I had to work with! And for me, for today, all is as it should be. This too shall pass.
I put this particular video on here, (Seal-Dont Cry)other than a great song, to help remind me/us, that as long as we have friends, and family, that we will never have to be alone. Even tho sometimes we may feel like it. There is always someone that loves us, whether we know it or not, or have just forgottten it. You never have to be alone.

These are for those who love the philosophy of hypocrisy and ambiguity....

1. Don't sweat the petty things and don't pet the sweaty things.

2. One tequila, two tequila, three tequila, floor.....

3. Atheism is a non-prophet organization.

4. If man evolved from monkeys and apes, why do we still have monkeys and
apes?

5. The main reason Santa is so jolly is because he knows where all the bad
girls live.

6. I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman, "Where's the self-help
section?"
She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.

7. What if there were no hypothetical questions?

8. If a deaf person swears, does his mother wash his hands with soap?

9. If someone with multiple personalities threatens to kill himself, is it
considered a hostage situation?

10. Is there another word for synonym?

11. Where do forest rangers go to "get away from it all?"

12. What do you do when you see an endangered animal eating an endangered
plant?

13. If a parsley farmer is sued, can they garnish his wages?

14. Would a fly without wings be called a walk? (LOVE this one!!)

15 Why do they lock gas station bathrooms? Are they afraid someone will
clean them?

16. If a turtle doesn't have a shell, is he homeless or naked?

17. Can vegetarians eat animal crackers?

18. If the police arrest a mime, do they tell him he has the right to remain
silent?

19. Why do they put Braille on the drive-through bank machines?

20. How do they get deer to cross the road only at those yellow road signs?

21. What was the best thing before sliced bread?

22. One nice thing about egotists: they don't talk about other people.

23. Does the Little Mermaid wear an alge-bra?

24. Do infants enjoy infancy as much as adults enjoy adultery?

25. How is it possible to have a civil war?

26. If one synchronized swimmer drowns, do the rest drown, too?

27. If you ate both pasta and antipasto, would you still be hungry?

28. If you try to fail, and succeed, which have you done?

29. Whose cruel idea was it for the word "Lisp" to have "S" in it?

30. Why are hemorrhoids called "hemorrhoids" instead of "assteroids"?

31. Why is it called tourist season if we can't shoot at them?

32. Why is there an expiration date on sour cream?

"Together we can do...what we cannot do apart."

The segment will air on Saturday, November 19th, at 1 PM and Sunday, November 20th, at 3 PM. CNN is doing a piece on " Life after Work". Wish that we could all be so lucky as to be retired, but, some of us have to work for a living still, haha!!

Tosha before her flight with CNN filming.

Towing with CNN.
Bruce and Tosh live here at Lookout Mtn., and a lot of funn to be around. You might have seen Bruce in the halloween pics. NOT his best showing, in my humble opinion, but he looked like he was having funn and that is all that matters at THAT party. He is one of the tow pilots here, and tosh flys hang gliders. Watch CNN and see what they do 4funn.

Having been in the Corps for 4 years, this is a special day for all of us Marines. Even tho I havent been in for a very long time, my heart still goes out to our troops over- seas. Also, for all of the young men & women that are just getting out of school, not even knowing what life has to offer, and the first sites of the world that they will see, is combat. In a very deep place inside of me, I wish that I could be there to help out. However, I'm not as young or as good looking as I used to be. I pray for all of their safe return home.

Happy Birthday to the Marine Corps!!!! Semper Fi !
