Doris sent out an announcement that alot of us knew was coming. It doesn't make it any easier. Some of us went the other night to visit, and it was probably the hardest thing that I've done in a very long time. She made my harness, that I wear while hanggliding. I'm quiet sure that I will think about her while setting up, for a long time. What a precious lady she was. Heaven has another Angel now. Rest in Peace, my friend.


I regret to report that our dear friend, Meredith Sutton, lost her battle with cancer last night, August 21st, at 9:55 PM. Meredith worked in the sew shop making harnesses for many years and was a valued member of our community.

Viewing will be at the Cornerstone Funeral Home in Ider, AL on Sunday (August 23rd) from 1 PM to 9 PM; Monday (August 24th) from 11 AM to 2 PM; funeral will be at 2 PM on Monday.

Directions to Cornerstone Funeral Home from Trenton: Take 136 to the top of Sand Mountain, turn left onto 301 at the Crossroads caution light, proceed several miles to the town of Ider. Continue straight through crossroads in Ider, funeral home is on the right hand side of the road, next to the Cabbage Bow Restaurant.
