GOD BLESS AMERICA!!!

There are a few things that those who have recently come to our country, and apparently some native Americans, need to understand.
First of all, it is not our responsibility to continually try not to offend you in any way. This idea of America being a multicultural community has served only to dilute our sovereignty and our national identity.
As Americans, we have our own culture, our own society, ourown language, and our own lifestyle. This culture, called the"American Way" has been developed over centuries of struggles, trials, and victories by millions of men and women who have sought freedom. Our forefathers fought, bled, and died at places such as Bunker Hill, Antietam, San Juan, Iwo Jima, Normandy, Korea, Vietnam...
We speak English, not Spanish, Arabic, Chinese, Japanese, Russian, or any other language. Therefore, if you wish to become part of our society - learn our language!
"In God We Trust" is our national motto. This is not some off-the-wall, Christian, Right Wing, political slogan - it is our national motto. It is engraved in stone in the House of Representatives in our Capitol and it is printed on our currency. We adopted this motto because Christian men and women, on Christian principles, founded this nation and this is clearly documented throughout our history. If it is appropriate for our motto to be inscribed in the halls of our highest level of Government, then it is certainly appropriate to display it on the walls of our schools. God is in our pledge, our National Anthem, nearly every patriotic song, and in our founding documents. We honor His birth, death, and resurrection as holidays, and we turn to Him in prayer in times of crisis.
If God offends you, then I suggest you consider another part of the world as your new home, because God is part of our culture and we are proud to have Him. We are proud of our heritage and those who have so honorably defended our freedoms. We celebrate Independence Day, Memorial Day, Veterans Day, and Flag Day. We have parades, picnics, and barbecues where we proudly wave our flag. As an American, I have the right to wave my flag, sing my national anthem, quote my national motto, and cite my pledge whenever and wherever I choose. If the Stars and Stripes offend you, or you don't like Uncle Sam, then you should seriously consider a move to another part of this planet.
The American culture is our way of life, our heritage, and we are proud of it. We are happy with our culture and have no desire to change, and we really don't care how you did things where you came from. Like it or not, this is our country, our land, and our lifestyle.
Our First Amendment gives every citizen the right to express his opinion about our government, culture, or society, and we will allow you every opportunity to do so.
But once you are done complaining, whining, and griping about our flag, our pledge, our national motto, or our way of life, I highly encourage you take advantage of one other great American freedom:
THE RIGHT TO LEAVE!
Another thing: To those who do complain about the usage of words like 'God' and 'American' and speaking the language of our great nation,
TRY GOING TO ANOTHER COUNTRY AND SPEAK AGAINST WHAT YOU DON'T LIKE. YOU WILL MORE THAN LIKELY END UP JAILED OR EVEN KILLED.
In America, you take your right to complain for granted. The more patriotism that is removed from where our children are taught, the less our children will learn about what it is to be an American and our nation's spirit will slowly be killed.
Keep patriotism alive.
It is time to take a stand!!
God Bless America and our Military and Veterans!!!"

What gets to me, is that the stats say that, 85% a Americans believe in God. Yet, we(as citizens of this great Nation), let them delegate what WE can put in our schools, and how we raise our students. Something wrong with that. Is the majority that weak, that they will tolerate this kind of stuff?! How about the government being employees of the People, for a change? NOT the other way around?!

Ray, thank you for your strong and unapologetic statement of what our nation is really about. It is sad that there are people who come to this country because of it's greatness, and then try to change it because it isn't like some other country with less freedoms.

They should recognize that it isn't we who choose to be un-european, un-arab, un-islamic, un-buddhist, etc, etc. We are Americans, who by the way chose to be pro-life, pro-Christ, pro-family, pro- all that is blessed and good. While there are Americans who do not choose these aspects of our freedoms and blessings, they still benefit from the majority of patriotic Americans who do.

God bless you, and keep up the blogging. It has blessed me, and as a fellow hang glider pilot, I thank you for your candor and testimony also.

I don't believe in Santa Claus, but I'm not going to sue somebody for singing a Ho-Ho-Ho song in December. I don't agree with Darwin , but I didn't go out and hire a lawyer when my high school teacher taught his Theory of Evolution.

Life, liberty or your pursuit of happiness will not be endangered because someone says a 30-second prayer before a football game. So what's the big deal? It's not like somebody is up there reading the entire Book of Acts. They're just talking to a God they believe in and asking him to grant safety to the players on the field and the fans going home from the game.

But it's a Christian prayer, some will argue.

Yes, and this is the United States of America , a country founded on Christian principles. According to our very own phone book, Christian churches outnumber all others better than 200-to-1. So what would you expect -- somebody chanting Hare Krishna?

If I went to a football game in Jerusalem , I would expect to hear a Jewish prayer...
If I went to a soccer game in Baghdad , I would expect to hear a Muslim prayer.

If I went to a ping pong match in China , I would expect to hear someone pray to Buddha.
And I wouldn't be offended. It wouldn’t bother me one bit.

When in Rome .....

But what about the atheists? Is another argument.

What about them? Nobody is asking them to be baptized. We're not going to pass the collection plate. Just humor us for 30 seconds. If that's asking too much, bring a Walkman or a pair of ear plugs. Go to the bathroom. Visit the concession stand. Call your lawyer!

Unfortunately, one or two will make that call. One or two will tell thousands what they can and cannot do. I don't think a short prayer at a football game is going to shake the world's foundations.

Christians are just sick and tired of turning the other cheek while our courts strip us of all our rights. Our parents and grandparents taught us to pray before eating, to pray before we go to sleep. Our Bible tells us to pray without ceasing. Now a handful of people and their lawyers are telling us to cease praying.

God, help us. And if that last sentence offends you, well, just sue me.

The silent majority has been silent too long. It's time we tell that one or two who scream loud enough to be heard that the vast majority doesn't care what they want. It is time that the majority

Rules! It's time we tell them, you don't have to pray; you don't have to say the Pledge of Allegiance; you don't have to believe in God or attend services that honor Him. That is your right, and we will honor your right; but by golly, you are no longer going to take our rights away. We are fighting back, and we WILL WIN!

God bless us one and all ... Especially those who denounce Him, God bless America , despite all her faults. She is still the greatest nation of all. God bless our service men who are fighting to protect our right to pray and worship God.

Suzanne says, The annoymous comments to your blog remind me of a Bible story:

"When anyone hears the message about the kingdom and does not understand it, the evil one comes and snatches away what was sown in his heart. This is the seed sown along the path. The one who received the seed that fell on rocky places is the man who hears the word and at once receives it with joy. But since he has no root, he lasts only a short time. When trouble or persecution comes because of the word, he quickly falls away. The one who received the seed that fell among the thorns is the man who hears the word, but the worries of this life and the deceitfulness of wealth choke it, making it unfruitful. But the one who received the seed that fell on good soil is the man who hears the word and understands it. He produces a crop, yielding a hundred, sixty or thirty times what was sown."

Keith, or anyone else for that matter, that doesn't like reading my blog,,,do yourself a favor,,,Dont click on it. Don't read it. It's about someone that served in the military, defending people that spew garbage out of their mouth that I dont agree with, because I believe they have a right to say it. Just as I have a right to speak mine. I do not apologize for it, nor will I ever. So, if you have corrections to make to what I put on here,, keep it to yourself. If you have opinions about how this Great Nation is run, do what I know you have already done, and write your Congressman.
As for me an My house, we serve The Lord Jesus.

Ray,
I don't think Barry Loudermilk is any wiser than you, just more willing to write hateful things that are untrue. I thought you would have the courage not to delete the comment I made which showed where he misrepresented our founding fathers and our national heritage.

It doesn't take courage, it takes being tolerant. Of which I am not, when it comes to someone saying things that I don't believe. Keith, you are a Very small minority. I believe that this is a Christian Nation, and it's been built on that. Just because you say something, doesn't make it so. I had no reason to even read the rest of whatever you wrote. So, to keep that kind of garbage on my blog,, Ain't happening. Post anything you desire on yours. And, if I make an error, and dont research everything thru Snopes, or whatever, don't let it concern you. It's none of your business, nor is it up for a debate.

Ray, For the past week I couldn't stop reading the thread regarding this country's founding on Christian values. I read some posts you subsquently deleted.

I noted those posts that were historically accurate, the poster used thier real name. Those that tried to skew history posted as "Anonymous".

On a business trip to D.C. I went by the Libuary of Congress. As you walk in the front door, immediately to your left is founding records of great historical significants. As you go through the inter-french-doors and proceed directly to the back wall, there encased in glass are some of the first legislative documents ever produced. The very first law written and passed by uninamious vote in both houses made it a crime, punishable by death any person who blasphemes the name of the LORD OUR GOD, JESUS CHRIST. That fact alone removes any doubt whatsoever about the historical significants of Christianity when the country was founded.

Now back to Mr/Ms/Mrs Anonymous. Ray, we need to pray for him/her. While they may not want thier true identity disclosed on the web, you and I both know for a fact that GOD knows who they are, what's in thier heart, why they say, write, and do the things they do, and what will happen to them in the end, and there will be an end for them.

I must always ask those kinds of folks:

Do you really believe that the over whelming majority of people in this country are wrong about GOD. If you do, is the basis of your position worthly of gambling with "FOREVER IN HELL" FOREVER is an awfully long time.

Isaac
