It is Jan 8th, 2006, temp about 60 degrees, and this is what some of us hang glider pilots do on "NON-fly days". Volleyball, horseshoes, and flying kites. The reason it wasnt a fly day was for 2 reasons. ONE-it was more than 45 degree cross. Two-winds aloft( 3,000 feet) was approx. 45-50 mph. We dont have ANY crazy/stupid enough pilots to fly in those kind of conditions! ! ! ! !
